Accessibility statement

We want every homeowner to be able to read about our work, call us and request an estimate, whatever device or assistive technology they use.

Our commitment

Ariel's Construction & Home Improvement is committed to making this website accessible to people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard commonly used for websites under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). We treat accessibility as ongoing work, not a one-time task.

What we do

  • Describe our project photos with text alternatives for screen reader users.
  • Build pages with clear headings, landmarks and a logical reading order.
  • Make every link, button and form field usable with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator.
  • Label every field in our estimate form and keep phone and email as alternatives.
  • Choose text and background colors with readable contrast.
  • Respect your device's “reduce motion” setting.
  • Let the page zoom to at least 200% without losing content.

The accessibility menu

Every page has an accessibility button on the left side of the screen. You can also open it with Ctrl + U (⌘ + U on a Mac) and close it with Esc.

It lets you:

  • Turn on one-click profiles for low vision, color blindness, dyslexia, ADHD, motor and seizure safety.
  • Make text bigger and change letter spacing, line height and alignment.
  • Switch to high contrast, inverted, grayscale, softer or more vivid color.
  • Highlight links and titles, use a dyslexia-friendly font, or hide images.
  • Use a reading mask, read text aloud, look up words, or show tooltips.
  • Stop animations, use a bigger cursor or a stronger focus outline.
  • See a list of the page's headings and jump straight to one.

Your choices are saved on your device only and stay on as you move between pages. “Reset all settings” turns everything off. The menu adds to, but does not replace, the screen readers, magnifiers and settings built into your device.

Known limits

Some parts of the site may not fully meet our goal yet:

  • Content from other companies, such as Google reviews, Google Maps, the chat window and analytics tools, is outside our direct control.
  • Project videos do not have captions yet. The written case study covers the same work.
  • Some older project photos have short descriptions that we are expanding.
