The house
A newly built home in Pittstown with lap siding, board-and-batten gables, black-framed windows and a wide rear deck going in. The original pale exterior didn't match the modern look the owners wanted.
The paint
We tested color samples right on the siding, then painted the lap siding, board-and-batten and trim in a deep charcoal. Every window, door and fixture was protected and cut in by hand, and the dark color now frames the black windows and the wood front door.
Before
What we started with
The house as we found it, photographed on site before work began.
Process
Building it, step by step
Photographed on site as the work progressed.
After
The finished house
Photographed after the rebuild was complete.
Testing the color on the actual siding first is what makes a big change like this feel right.
