Interior build-out
Finishing a new pool house from bare studs in Pittstown, NJ
Pittstown, NJ · Hunterdon County
- Location
- Pittstown, NJ
- Project
- Pool house interior
- Walls
- Painted shiplap
- Ceiling
- Stained wood, vaulted
Starting from studs
The pool house shell was framed with plumbing and electrical roughed in. Every wall and the vaulted ceiling were still open framing.
Insulation and drywall
We insulated the walls and the vaulted ceiling, including the bathroom and utility area, then hung drywall to close everything in.
Shiplap, ceiling and tile
The main room got horizontal shiplap on the walls and a tongue-and-groove ceiling stained a rich brown to contrast with the light walls. A patterned porcelain tile floor runs through the space.
Trim, paint and stain
We finished with crisp white casings and baseboard, painted the shiplap a soft warm white, and completed the staining for a clean, finished pool house ready for summer.
