The entry
This Colonial's front entrance has a half-glass door, two leaded-glass sidelights and a formal surround with fluted pilasters and a crown header — the first thing every visitor sees.
Black and white
We painted the door and sidelight panels black, then repainted the pilasters, header, casing and jambs bright white. Glass and brass hardware were masked so the lines stayed clean.
The result is a crisp, high-contrast entry that suits the house and its brick steps.
After
The finished house
Photographed after the rebuild was complete.
A fresh coat on the front door changes the whole look of a house.
